Joshua Siegel founded StoneCastle Partners, LLC in 2003 and serves as Managing Partner and the Chief Executive Officer. He is widely regarded as a leading expert and investor in the banking industry. His innovations have brought nearly $40 billion of capital and $25 billion of deposits to more than 1,600 community and regional banks. He was an adjunct professor at Columbia Business School and is frequently called upon to teach and train state and federal bank examiners and conduct seminars for government entities and banking associations.
Prior to StoneCastle, Joshua was a co-founder and Vice President of the Global Portfolio Solutions Group at Salomon Brothers/Citigroup, where he developed new products including pooled investment strategies for community banks. Before joining Salomon Brothers/Citigroup, Joshua worked at Sumitomo Bank and served as a member of its New York Credit Committee. Prior to Sumitomo, Joshua worked for Charterhouse, carrying out merchant banking and private equity transactions.
Mr. Siegel received his BS in Management and Accounting from Tulane University. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and Mensa.
George Shilowitz serves as a Partner of StoneCastle Partners, LLC and has direct responsibility for overall management and strategy of all aspects of the company and is the chairman of the investment committees. He also serves as the Director and President of StoneCastle Financial Corp.
George has two decades of fixed income and principal investment experience. Prior to joining StoneCastle, he was a senior executive and participated in the highly successful turnaround of Shinsei Bank sponsored by J.C. Flowers & Co. and Ripplewood Partners. George managed various business units including Merchant Banking and Principal Finance and was the president of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Shinsei Capital (USA) Limited. Before that, George was a senior member of the Principal Transactions Group at Lehman Brothers, where he focused on proprietary investments and debt portfolio acquisitions from distressed financial institutions in Asia. Prior to Lehman Brothers, he was a member of Salomon Brothers’ Asset Finance Group. George began his career at First Boston Corporation (now Credit Suisse) as a member of the fixed income mortgage arbitrage group and also held positions in the financial engineering group and asset finance investment banking. George holds a BS in Economics from Cornell University.
As President of StoneCastle Partners, LLC, Mr. Rotella has direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of the company and setting its overall strategy and direction with the other partners of the firm. As Vice Chairman of StoneCastle Cash Management, LLC, Steve is responsible for strategic oversight of the firm and architecting the delivery and distribution of new products made available through various StoneCastle subsidiaries. Steve was previously Chief Executive Officer of StoneCastle Cash Management LLC, where he was instrumental in building the company’s cash management products and services and leading its acquisition strategy. Under his direction, the firm became an industry leader in delivering and administering cash management solutions for institutions and financial intermediaries while uniquely providing funding and liquidity programs to banks of all sizes.
Steve brings more than 30 years of strategic and operating leadership in banking and financial services to StoneCastle with extensive experience in retail and Internet banking, marketing, organizational development, product innovation, and large-scale operations management. He spent 18 years at JP Morgan Chase where he was a member of the Executive Committee and CEO of Chase Home Finance, the fourth largest home lender in the country.
Steve has been active in community organizations throughout his career with a keen interest in serving the underprivileged, boosting home ownership, and the arts. Steve is the Chair of the Board of Lift Communities, a national organization that is working to break the cycle of poverty for parents with young children and is a Trustee of the Orient Historical Society. He was previously on the Boards of The Seattle Foundation, ArtsFund, Youthcare, and Ballet Met. Steve lives in New York City, and holds a BA in Economics and an MBA in Information Systems/Finance from the State University of New York.
Brett is Vice President, Corporate Development at CIBC. He identifies, assesses and executes strategic transactions (such as acquisitions, divestitures, strategic investments, partnerships and joint ventures) and other initiatives, including working with management from the bank’s lines of business and infrastructure groups to explore, develop and conduct due diligence and financial analysis on strategic initiatives. Brett also participates in the oversight of CIBC’s portfolio of strategic investments.
Brett has substantial experience originating and completing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments and capital raisings transactions across a broad range of industries throughout Canada and the U.S. His experience includes more than 130 announced transactions with an aggregate value of $140 billion.
Prior to joining CIBC’s Strategy & Corporate Development group in November 2012, Brett was with CIBC’s merchant bank and CIBC’s investment bank. He joined CIBC in June 2004 after working in investment banking with Citigroup in New York for six years.
He graduated with a Master of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University.
Michael Eisenson is Managing Director and CEO of Charlesbank Capital Partners. Prior to co-founding Charlesbank in 1998, Michael was the president of Harvard Private Capital Group, the firm’s predecessor. He began his tenure at Harvard Management Company in 1986 as managing director. Before joining Harvard Management, Michael was with The Boston Consulting Group, a corporate strategy consulting firm.
Michael serves on the boards of StoneCastle Partners, Blueknight Energy, CIFC, DEI Holdings, Montpelier Re, and Penske Auto Group. In 2011, Michael was recognized by the Outstanding Directors Exchange for his significant boardroom contributions. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Williams College, with a BA in economics, and holds JD and MBA degrees from Yale University.
Michael’s philanthropic involvement includes serving on the boards of trustees of Berklee College of Music, the Boston Foundation, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Williams College. He is also a founding director of Horizons for Homeless Children. Michael and his wife, Barbara, have four children and live in Wayland, MA.
David joined Charlesbank in 2013 after graduating from business school. Previously, he was an associate at Bain Capital, where he focused on private equity investments in the technology, business services and consumer sectors. David was also a business analyst with McKinsey & Company.
A native of the New York area, David currently resides in Manhattan. In his free time, he enjoys biking, traveling, watching basketball and exploring new restaurants.

Ezana Bocresion is the Managing Partner of Aeneas Holdings, LLC, a Merchant Banking firm he founded in 2009. Ezana advises institutional investors on transactions in a variety of industries, including Fintech and the food value chain industries around the world. Ezana helps execute investment programs for professional investors by leveraging his extensive investment banking and investor experience gained in Latin America, North America and Europe.
Prior to his current role, Ezana co-founded and sold an African Private Equity Fund. Prior to that, he was an Investment Banker for 17 years in New York and London with senior roles for firms such as JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, and Atlas Advisors where he developed in-depth industry knowledge in agribusiness/food value chain and Information Technology/Fintech and completed transactions valued in excess of $64bn in North America, Latin America and Europe. Finally, he spent 5 years in Public Accounting with KPMG, and Laventhol and Horwath. Ezana has also been a Fintech investor since 1998 with several successful exits, including to Google.
Mr. Bocresion received an MBA from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a BS from Boston University. He has worked extensively in the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. He is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Amharic, and Tigringha.
Dan Farrell is Chief Executive Officer of StoneCastle Cash Management, LLC (“SCCM”), a wholly owned subsidiary of StoneCastle Partners, LLC. Mr. Farrell is responsible for the day to day operations and management of SCCM, including defining the strategic focus within its bank, institutional, and financial intermediary business lines. Mr. Farrell is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and oversees all operations, technology, sales, and marketing functions.
Previously, Mr. Farrell was Managing Partner of Dark Bridge Capital LP, a fund company Mr. Farrell co-founded in 2010 to make equity investments in financial services entities and to acquire distressed mortgage and asset backed securities. Mr. Farrell was an investor in Intermedium Financial, LLC, the assets of which were acquired by an SCCM affiliate in early 2017.
Prior to these roles, Mr. Farrell was Managing Director and Head of Structured Asset Finance at Wachovia Securities where he managed Investment Banking, Trading, and Distribution for the firm. Mr. Farrell’s organization was comprised of Equipment Finance, Royalties, Transportation, Aviation and Structured Commercial Real Estate. Prior to this, Mr. Farrell was President and Chief Underwriting Officer of BluePoint Re. Mr. Farrell successfully worked with Wachovia to form this Bermuda-based financial guaranty company, achieving an initial rating from S&P and Moody’s of AA/Aa3, respectively. Mr. Farrell spent the first 13 years of his career at Financial Security Assurance, where he was responsible for managing the firm’s asset-backed securities division.
Mr. Farrell holds an MBA from Fordham University and a BS degree from Seton Hall University.
As President of StoneCastle Cash Management, LLC, Eric Lansky has direct responsibility for all aspects of the company’s cash management products and services. Eric brings over 20 years of cash management experience to StoneCastle, with deep experience in sales, marketing, and new product development.
Prior to joining SCCM, Eric was President and CEO of Mutuals Advisors and USA Mutuals Partners. During his tenure at USA Mutuals, he introduced an FDIC insured deposit program for registered investment advisors, high-net-worth individuals and institutions which was recognized as a leading cash management vehicle for institutional clients.
Before joining USA Mutuals in 2008, Eric was managing director of Reserve Management Company, where he oversaw all aspects of sales and marketing within the company, including brokerage, bank and institutional sales initiatives. Prior to joining Reserve in 1999, Eric served as Director of Marketing at Nomura Corporate Research and Asset Management. While at Nomura, he was responsible for the marketing of financial products to institutional markets and through brokerage channels.
Eric is often quoted in the media and speaks at industry conferences. He graduated from Tulane University in 1991 with a Bachelor’s degree and earned his Masters in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
Jimmy Noriega is the Chief Operating Officer of StoneCastle Cash Management. He is responsible for day-to-day management of operations and technology and leads the overall operational strategy for the firm. Additionally, Jimmy serves as Chief Technology Officer at StoneCastle and is responsible for technology across StoneCastle’s subsidiaries. He joined StoneCastle in early 2011 has over sixteen years of experience in financial technology, specifically in the development of complex trading and portfolio management systems. He is the key architect of StoneCastle’s proprietary systems, supporting our business lines.
Before joining StoneCastle, Jimmy was the local head of the global engineering group responsible for development and infrastructure of the program trading platform at Morgan Stanley, a leading trading desk for the investment bank. Prior to that, he led the program trading software engineering groups at Dresdner Kleinwort Investment Bank, now merged with Commerzbank.
Jimmy holds an MBA from Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. Additionally, he received a BS and MA in Computer Science from the City University of New York and graduated with distinction in all three programs. His research includes evolutionary algorithms and multi-objective optimization.
As Chief Financial Officer for StoneCastle Partners LLC, Pat Farrell is responsible for all financial and accounting activities at StoneCastle. He came to StoneCastle with over thirty five years of hands-on management experience in finance and accounting, specifically focused on domestic and offshore mutual funds, bank deposit account programs, investment advisory and broker dealer businesses. He also serves as the CFO of StoneCastle Financial Corp.
Previously, Pat was CFO/COO of the Emerging Managers Group, LP, a specialty asset management firm focused on offshore mutual funds. Prior to that, Pat was CFO at Reserve Management Company, where he oversaw all financial activities for the company. Earlier in his career, Pat held financial positions at Lexington Management, Drexel Burnham, Alliance Capital and New York Life Investment Management, all focused on investment advisory activities. He began his career at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co.
Pat holds a BS in Business Administration-Accounting from Manhattan College. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
As the General Counsel and CCO, Rachel Schatten is responsible for all legal and compliance matters concerning the firm and the vehicles it manages. She also serves as Chief Compliance Officer and Secretary of StoneCastle Financial Corp. Rachel came to StoneCastle with over 12 years of investment adviser experience to StoneCastle. Most recently, she was the U.S. General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of an international fund of funds, and the General Securities Principal of its affiliated broker-dealer.
Prior to that, Rachel was an Associate in the investment management group of Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, where she counseled investment advisers with respect to the development and structuring of new hedge funds, including domestic and offshore entities, master feeder funds, and funds of funds. She currently holds Series 7, 63 and 24 licenses.
Rachel received her BA from Binghamton University in Political Science, and her J.D., cum laude, from Albany Law School of Union University, where she was an associate editor of the Albany Law Review and a member of the Justinian Society.
Rachel has been involved in many community initiatives, including raising money and awareness for homeless animals in the NYC area.
David Fuccillo joined StoneCastle in 2011 as the Managing Director for StoneCastle Cash Management. Over the course of David’s tenure at StoneCastle, FICA’s institutional accounts and assets have grown exponentially. He was responsible for streamlining operational functions as well as creating several client service processes catering to our growing base of clients. David plays an integral role within StoneCastle by identifying and introducing processes to enhance the client experience while creating greater organizational efficiencies. David also serves as the main contact between the organization and US Bank’s support team.
Prior to joining StoneCastle, David was the Manager of Client Services at Reserve Management Company, leading several operational areas of the firm. David began his career as an Assistant Vice President at UBS Financial Services, working on the Municipal Syndicate Desk.
David currently holds Series 7, 63 and 66 licenses. He received his BA from Northeastern University.
Frank Bonanno is Managing Director, Head of Marketing at StoneCastle Cash Management, LLC. Frank is responsible for defining the firm’s marketing strategy and expanding the StoneCastle brand across all of its lines of business under the StoneCastle Partners, LLC umbrella. Frank is in charge of all website content, digital marketing initiatives, and client-centric marketing programs. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the bank, brokerage, institutional, and cash markets and has a passion for driving integrated marketing strategies into revenue opportunities for clients, intermediaries, and the firm.
Prior to StoneCastle, Frank was Vice President and Head of Marketing for Reich & Tang Deposit Networks, LLC, where he was responsible for the creation of strategic marketing plans within each of its distribution channels, as well as all corporate marketing and brand-building initiatives. He also supported select marketing and distribution programs for the firm’s key clients and strategic business partners by helping them position their products and services in their respective markets. Prior to that, Frank served as Marketing Director at Double Rock Corporation, was Vice President of Marketing and Advertising at The Dreyfus Corporation, and Regional Marketing Director at Lexington Management Corporation.
Frank spent the early part of his career as a Financial Consultant at Merrill Lynch. He earned an M.B.A. from Long Island University and a B.S. degree in Finance from Rider University.
Brandon Semilof is a Managing Director at StoneCastle Cash Management, LLC. Brandon has more than twenty years of investment management and marketing experience. Throughout his career, he is credited with helping create and launch innovative and unique cash management solutions that have helped to define and develop the institutional cash market. Prior to joining StoneCastle Brandon was with Vanderbilt Avenue Asset Management, where he was head of sales and marketing. At Vanderbilt, he was successful in helping launch the first institutional liquid FDIC-insured cash management vehicle.
Prior to Vanderbilt, Brandon was a Director at The Reserve, where he was head of Institutional Sales; while there, institutional cash balances under his leadership grew from $5 billion to over $85 billion. Brandon is a frequent and sought after speaker and has been quoted in nearly every major financial publication on the topic of cash management.
Brandon has a B.S. in Business Management from Ithaca College.
Joe Healey is a President of StoneCastle Digital Solutions and has experience across digital product design, asset management and capital markets. He currently focuses on strategic corporate activities for StoneCastle and also sources, structures and executes fixed income investments in financial companies. He was a founding member of StoneCastle’s team which developed the proprietary software, structure and operational processes to launch its Federally Insured Cash Account platform. Prior to joining StoneCastle in 2009, he worked in commercial real estate.
Joe holds a BS in Finance and Economics from Manhattan College and a Masters in Security Analysis and Portfolio Management from Creighton University.
